District Attorney Warren Montgomery teamed with The Shack restaurant, 1204 W. 21st Ave., Covington, for the annual “Men Who Cook” fundraiser Sunday and walked away with the first place “Judges’ Choice” award. The award-winning dish, prepared by co-owner and chef Thomas LoPresti, was brisket machaca over creamy provolone polenta. All proceeds benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center-Hope House, a nonprofit group that offers free services to victims of child abuse. Congratulations Team Shack, which also included the restaurant’s co-owner Dean Thomas!
